Origin Story

My dad is my best friend, and at 85, his wisdom, humor, and kindness have shaped my life in countless ways.

As I think about the future, it pains me that my unborn children may never truly know him — not just through stories I tell, but through his voice, his advice, and his spirit. Memories fade, and no matter how much I share, it feels one-dimensional.

That’s when it clicked: I didn’t just want to preserve memories of my dad, I wanted to preserve him — his cadence, his stories, his personality. I set out to create a custom language model that could capture his essence, so my kids, and others like them, could still sit down, talk, laugh, and find comfort in the voices of those who shaped us, long after they’re gone.
